Macjournal 5.2.4b1

Get it here.

This is the first beta of 5.2.4. It has more changes than seem evident in the UI, but there are a few changes that might help you. Line endings with Blogger are improved yet again. The right text margins when you have text zoom set to greater than 100% should also be fixed. There are some changes to wiki links, internationalization, and Services as well. Please try it out and let me know of any problems.

The best ways to report problems are with the Report a Bug menu item in the Help menu or the MacJournal Support Forums. Make sure to include what version of MacJournal you are using.

Dan,

Am using this latest beta on a MBP (10.6.4) with an external display - using the external display as my main screen. When going into Full Screen mode the main display goes black but the MBP screen remains unchanged, ie does not darken.

Any way you can darken both screens.

There is a hidden preference that should work for this. Go the Hidden pref pane and look for a pref to darken other screens during full screen. Let me know if you've already got that set and it's just not working though.

Dan, there is a pref to "Hide other screens in Full Screen" but it doesn’t do anything. Have selected it and quit out of and back into MJ but no change. The secondary display remains non-hidden.

Dan, on another front, dragging a journal in the sidebar to reposition it in the list or attempting to place it inside another journal results in a duplicate of the journal, not the journal being moved.

Thanks, I've fixed both of these for the next beta.

Dan, sorry to keep these coming in but... when I place a smart journal within a normal journal, it only searches entries within that folder. Is this the intended behaviour?

Do I thus have to keep all smart journals at level one of the sidebar?

Yes, that is intended behavior since there is no other control for the scope of the search. There will be in the future, so this restriction won't be there, but for now you'll have to place where you need it to search.
